Extension & Outreach at St. Xavier's College, Burdwan
St. Xavier's College, Burdwan, guided by the Jesuit mission of "service for others," actively engages with the wider community through a robust programme of extension and outreach activities.
Key Outreach Programmes
X-Reach – Community Outreach Wing
X-Reach coordinates community service. Volunteers regularly visit villages, schools, and underserved communities in the Burdwan region.
NSS (National Service Scheme)
The NSS unit conducts regular camps, cleanliness drives, literacy programmes, and awareness campaigns in adopted villages around Burdwan.
X-Eve Women's Cell
X-Eve conducts gender sensitisation workshops and health awareness programmes focused on women's empowerment in Purba Bardhaman district.
AICUF (All India Catholic University Federation)
AICUF volunteers visit orphanages, old age homes, and hospitals in the spirit of Jesuit social service.
