St. Xavier's College, Burdwan is committed to promoting research and scholarly activities among faculty and students. The Research and Development Cell (RDC) coordinates all research-related activities and encourages interdisciplinary research.

The college supports faculty members in pursuing research projects, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and presenting papers at national and international conferences.

Research & Development Cell

The RDC committee oversees research activities across all departments. It facilitates research proposals, monitors ongoing projects, and ensures compliance with ethical standards.

The cell organizes research methodology workshops, seminars on emerging research areas, and provides guidance on funding opportunities from UGC, DST, ICSSR, and other agencies.

Publications & Journals

Faculty members actively contribute to academic knowledge through publications in national and international journals. The college encourages research in diverse fields including biotechnology, computer science, social sciences, humanities, and commerce.

The institution also supports the publication of books, book chapters, and monographs by faculty members.

Research Projects

The college has undertaken several research projects funded by various agencies. Faculty members are encouraged to apply for research grants from UGC, DST, ICSSR, and other national funding bodies.

Student research projects and dissertations are an integral part of the academic curriculum, particularly at the postgraduate level.
