Reaching Out, Making a Difference

X-Reach is the extension and outreach wing of St. Xavier's College, Burdwan, dedicated to community service, social responsibility, and inclusive development.

About X-Reach:

Inspired by the Jesuit tradition of care for the whole person and concern for the marginalized, X-Reach organises and facilitates outreach activities that connect the college community with the wider society. The initiative reflects the college's commitment to social justice and service.

Key Initiatives:

Community Outreach: Regular visits to villages, schools, and communities in the Burdwan region to provide educational support, health awareness, and livelihood assistance.
Rural Education Support: Organising tutoring sessions, book donations, and educational camps for underprivileged children.
Health Awareness Campaigns: Conducting health camps, blood donation drives, and hygiene awareness programmes in collaboration with local health authorities.
Environmental Activities: Tree plantation drives, cleanliness campaigns, and environmental awareness initiatives.
Skill Development: Imparting basic vocational and life skills to community members, especially women and youth.
Disaster Relief: Mobilising student volunteers during floods and other natural disasters to assist affected communities.

Collaboration:

X-Reach works in close collaboration with NSS (National Service Scheme), AICUF, and other student bodies to maximise impact. It also partners with local NGOs, government agencies, and Jesuit social centres.
