A team of final-year Biotechnology students won the Best Research Paper Award at the 12th Eastern India Biotechnology Conference held at Calcutta University. Their paper on 'Phytoremediation of Heavy Metals Using Indigenous Plant Species of Burdwan' was lauded for its practical applications.
