CERTIFICATE COURSE IN SPOKEN ENGLISH
Language learning is, no doubt, a continuous process. Using a language is a skill, like any other skill, and until and un less one practices the skill, one cannot use it for the intended purpose. Though students learn English language in the classroom from the school level itself, it is a common place observation that they lack fluency in LSRW skills (Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing). It is not exaggeration to state that certain intervention strategies will help the students acquire them more quickly and efficiently. Competency in Communication skills especially in English language makes or mars the prospects of any job seeking candidate in the global job market.
Objectives
- Understand the different components of language involved in communication skills and to recognize the importance of grammar and vocabulary in the acquisition of English.
- Understand the features of spoken English and apply them to their own speech by listening to authentic audio texts in English
- Speak in English by using the opportunities given to them
- Read, comprehend and appreciate different types of texts in English.
