Entrepreneurship Development Cell

Entrepreneurship Development Cell

INTRODUCTION:

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) of St. Xavier’s College, Burdwan, has been established with a vision to encourage the students of the college from all disciplines to consider self-employment as a carrier option besides their studies. We focus on basic entrepreneurship skills to develop their mind-set to think differently. Apart from their studies, students can explore some new dimensions to become a successful entrepreneur in future. We provide a platform where the aspiring students can showcase their ideas through various events organised by the cell. The students get an opportunity to get in touch with already established Entrepreneurs where they can learn from their past experiences. We make them aware of various government schemes which are formulated to support the aspiring entrepreneurs. We often organise training workshops by the experts from various sectors to provide technical know-how required for their project. With these various activities we empower the aspiring students to initiate and develop an idea into a business model.
